I would like to learn how to add simple rewrites. E.g. rewrite login url. I have tried add_action('init', 'mc_admin_url'); function mc_admin_url() { add_rewrite_rule('admin', 'wp-login.php','top'); } in my functions.php, but it does not work

I'm really hoping that 2010 will be the year of the 'custom write pages' now that we have post_types capability in 2.9, esp when 3.0 comes out and fully extends post_types.

It would be really nice to find some really in depth articles on creating write panels styled the way we choose, and just how many doors are opening up with post_types turning wp into more of a cms than just a blogging platform.
